The new TSLA Hong Kong shop was launched in early January and is now led by Kris Kam as general manager, with support from a full copy, art and digital team from the Singapore office.
The agency claims it is the first pop-up agency in Asia. TSLA has been active in the Hong Kong market since 2005, working with brands such as the BBC, Fox Networks and Transitions Optical. The new office is in response to the clients' needs in Hong Kong.
The agency stated that they are foreseeing a distinct demand from several of the businesses that it is developing in the region to be in Hong Kong and Greater China.
"It is a marriage of our nimbleness, ability to move around quickly on demand and our commitment to our clients' business direction," said Nicholas Ye, chief creative officer and co-founder of TSLA, "The creative outfit has opened what he describes as a 'pop-up' agency, which challenges the conventional agency model."
“We all know that the traditional agency models are broken. So we are doing, quite simply what feels genuinely right for our clients and their needs without having them bear the brunt of a tedious, often bulky and expensive setup. TSLA has always worked on a model of open-architecture and collaboration with regards to resource management,” he added.
TSLA was founded in Singapore in 2004. Current clients include SingTel, LaSalle, Singapore Press Holdings, Shell and PayPal.
