Satisfy your virtual hunger with a virtual food delivery on Animal Crossing

Deliveroo is venturing into the world of Animal Crossing, offering players the chance to receive a delivery of virtual treats for their ravenous avatars.

A fleet of (frankly adorable) branded Deliveroo riders will be zooming around to players' islands on May 30 handing out virtual deliveries to those that have commented on Deliveroo's Facebook page. The first 50 participants will receive a Facebook Message with a queue number and approximate delivery time, just like a real Deliveroo order.

While their avatars nom down some virtual treats, players will also receive promo codes to order food in the real-world, too. Deliveroo is also offering customers who order a ‘Family Bundles’ deal the chance to win a Nintendo Switch.

Deliveroo is the second brand in a month to jump into the virtual world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Earlier this month, Sentosa Development Corporation and its agency BBH created a virtual version of its holiday destination on Animal Crossing, including attractions such as beach bars, nature trails, the Skyline Luge, the Shangri-La and Capella hotels, and a spot for yoga by the beach.

The brand worked with Singapore's The Secret Little Agency on the project.
