Qantas is promoting internally to fill its CMO position. The Australian airline is moving Jo Boundy from Qantas Loyalty, where she is currently executive manager of marketing and Qantas Group Accommodation, to become executive manager of group brand and marketing—effectively the Qantas Group’s chief marketing officer position.

The role has been vacant following the promotion of Stephanie Tully to chief customer officer in August. Boundy will report to Tully in her new role. Tully sits on Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce’s leadership team.

Meanwhile, Petra Perry has been appointed to the CMO role for Qantas Loyalty.

Boundy has worked the past 10 years at Qantas, initially in internal communications, and later as head of digital and entertainment for the airline before taking the CMO role for Qantas Loyalty. Prior to that, Boundy held roles at the Airline Passenger Experience Association, Optus and was group director of Octane public relations in the UK.
