
Publicis Groupe has appointed Matt Lever, former chief creative officer at BMB, as a global executive creative director for an undisclosed client.
Lever joined the network in October 2024 and is responsible for overseeing creative for one of the network's global clients.
Prior to joining Publicis Groupe, Lever spent over five years as chief creative officer at BMB, working on brands such as Samsung, La Famiglia Rana and Free Now.
He departed BMB at the end of 2023, and was replaced by Laurent Simon in the spring of 2024.
Lever also oversaw campaigns at BMB for Breast Cancer Now, with work like “The chat”, which aimed to open up conversations about breast cancer in a drama series that played out through a group chat. The campaign won a Campaign Big Award for Charity—Best Use of Digital Tech.
Lever spent three years at VCCP, first as creative director before being promoted to the then newly created post of deputy executive creative director. This followed two years as a copywriter at Wieden & Kennedy Portland.

Publicis Groupe expanded in Latin America in February, at which time it acquired influencer marketing and content agency BR Media Group. Prior to this, the Groupe anounced it was merging Leo Burnett and Publicis Worldwide into a unified network called Leo.
