Publicis Communications make ANZ appointments

Company names CEO and chairman for Publicis Communications ANZ, Australia CEO for Leo Burnett.

Publicis Communications has made three leadership appointments in Australia and New Zealand:

  • Michael Rebelo has been named CEO for Publicis Communications ANZ, in addition to his current role as CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi ANZ. He will report to Loris Nold, global chief operating officer. He is tasked with "driving transformation and ensuring that global and local clients are given full access to the Groupe’s expertise, talents and resources", according to the company.
  • Andrew Baxter has been appointed as chairman of Publicis Communications in addition to his current role as CEO of Publicis Worldwide. He also reports to Nold and will focus on "collaboration with other Publicis Groupe solutions hub, including Sapient Inside and the ramping up of Prodigious".
  • Melinda Geertz has been appointed to a newly created position as CEO for Leo Burnett Australia. She previously led Leo Burnett Melbourne.

Global CEO Arthur Sadoun said the appointments will allow Publicis to deliver "seamless, end-to-end solutions".
