OMD's Lester Ng joins Starcom Beijing as managing director

BEIJING - Lester Ng, previously business director at OMD Beijing, has stepped up as the new MD for Starcom Beijing office, responsible for all clients, including Mars and Samsung, and reporting to Bertilla Teo.

In his new role, Ng (pictured) will report to Bertilla Teo, the agency's Greater China CEO. He will be responsible for the overall management of the Beijing office, as well as new business development and enhancing client services.

Ng, a Singapore-born media professional, brings to his new role over 13 years of experience spanning across various categories including technology (Intel, Nokia, Sony, Sun Microsystems), FMCG (McDonald's), automobile (Toyota, Lexus) and beverages (Asia-Pacific Breweries).

Prior to joining Starcom, Lester spent over half his working career with ZenithOptimedia before moving to OMD, where he was part of the core team that won the Intel business in 2008. Lester has spent the last five years in Beijing and Shanghai.

Reported in August, Starcom Shanghai hired Jonathan Hsia as GM of its digital division, Jeffrey Tan as director of national research and insights and Caterina Camerata as human experience stategy director.
