Ogilvy’s Paul Matheson to depart Asia for New York in September

During his six years with Ogilvy & Mather in Asia-Pacific, Matheson has been based in Bangkok as planning director for Southeast Asia, then in Hong Kong and most recently in Tokyo as planning director for the entire region.

On Matheson's departure, Tim Isaac (pictured), chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific, said: "Paul has been a fabulous colleague. Wherever he has been based he has been loved, admired and respected."

"He has done great hands-on work on our biggest clients; he has been a great coach to the planning community around the region; and he has made major contributions to the way planning works at Ogilvy. We will miss him. New York has always been in his heart and we were lucky to get six years out of him," added Isaac.

Paul Heath, CEO Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific, added that when Matheson leaves in September, he will take the opportunity to re-shape the network's planning arm in Asia-Pacific and would be announcing the changes in due course.
