Octagon is solidifying its Asia-Pacific leadership with new promotions and expanded roles that include new regional responsibilities under APAC MD Joanne Warnes.

In Australia, the Interpublic-owned sports and entertainment talent agency is promoting Louise Ferguson and David Gregory to co-agency leads of Octagon Australia, with Ferguson focusing on growth in Queensland, and Gregory based out of the agency's office in Sydney. Together, they will oversee a team of more than 30 employees, servicing global accounts like Mastercard, Cisco, and Unilever, while leading work with clients around the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Ferguson will continue as head of client services for Australia and Southeast Asia, while Gregory will add head of strategy for APAC to his role.

Meanwhile, Jung Jee, Octagon's managing director of South Korea will add oversight of the Japan office and client efforts in his expanded role as managing director of Octagon North and East Asia. As such Jee will guide the strategic, integrated marketing, sponsorship, activation, and commercial output in both regions. He will also continue to serve as a golf expert throughout Asia.

Finally, Naveen Vohra will serve as head of people and culture for APAC, based in Singapore. This role includes overseeing recruitment, internal talent development, DE&I programs, and internal culture initiatives across the APAC region. Vohra will also continue to liaise with Octagon’s shared services teams within APAC.

All four will report into Warnes for their expanded remits.

“With the continued growth and potential of the sport and entertainment industry in the APAC region, it’s exciting and important to share in the recognition and elevation of talent who have demonstrated value, leadership and excellence to the business, clients and industry in formative years. Louise, David and Jung have all excelled and we are delighted to acknowledge their leadership roles in Australia and Japan / Korea respectively. As part of the APAC leadership team, they will be supported with the hire of Naveen, who has a strong background in People, Culture and Diversity, bringing his expertise to further evolve the culture within the Octagon business. The collective will continue to forge the path for continued growth and success," shared Warnes.
