The appointment follows the abrupt departure in July of predecessor Renuka Jaypal, who left after just three months in the role.

Troni will relocate from New York to regional headquarters in Singapore to oversee operations in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. She will draw on her extensive network knowledge and relationships to take the sub-region to the next level of growth, according to the company.

“The economic and creative potential in Southeast Asia makes the sub-region an important growth region for our industry," Troni said. "We have phenomenal talent throughout the region, and with our chief creative officer, Victor Ng.”

Among Euro RSCG’s clients in Southeast Asia are Carlsberg, Danone, Reckitt Benckiser, Far East Organization and Singapore’s largest supermarket, FairPrice.

An announcement regarding the new global chief marketing officer will be made soon.

Having joined the Euro RSCG network in 2004, Troni has held various posts in the UK and US. She was responsible for leading the network’s new business and marketing as a global CMO, promoting best practices across all offices. She has been a member of the Euro RSCG Worldwide Executive Committee since 2010.

Troni has been the driving force behind the reinvigoration of Euro RSCG’s thought leadership programme, overseeing all global studies and spearheading the redesign of the Prosumer Reports whitepapers. She is also credited with rejuvenating Euro RSCG’s internal communications with a series of initiatives that include a complete revamp of the company intranet, the streamlining of network communications, and the introduction of a global e-learning platform.
