JWT Shanghai leads strong China showing at Cannes

CANNES - JWT Shanghai won mainland China's first ever Cannes Grand Prix for its 'Heaven and hell' campaign for Samsonite, in what was a big night for Greater China agencies.

'Heaven and hell' also won a gold and silver Lion, adding to the two golds it picked up in the Outdoor category earlier in the week.

Also in the Press category, Leo Burnett Hong Kong won a gold and a bronze for its campaign promoting a car free day for Greenpeace, while DDB Hong Kong also took home a bronze for its client Freshlock Clips.

Meanwhile, Leo Burnett Shanghai won gold in the Design category for the 'Despair whirlpool' campaign for the Guangzhou Yang Ai Special Children Parent Club. Also in Design  Ogilvy Shanghai won for its campaign to raise public awareness of spitting/ Other noteable winners in the category included JWT Shanghai, Wieden + Kennedy Shanghai and Ogilvy Beijing, all of which won bronze Lions.
