Ipsos Australia appoints Hamish Munro as new CEO

Based in Sydney, Munro replaces Hugh Amoyal.

The former TNS Southeast Asia CEO, Munro, joins Ipsos with 20 years' experience in the industry. At TNS, he was responsible for the overall performance of Southeast Asian markets, client engagement and running two of the company’s largest global trackers.

Hamish has worked in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. His skills include research methodologies and brand/advertising tracking, as well as coordinating and analysing large research projects.

Munro began his career with research company NFO in Indonesia in 1999, working in account service and rising to become managing Director of Taiwan and Hong Kong before NFO was acquired by TNS.

Ipsos Asia-Pacific managing director David Richardson said Munro's track record addressing the underlying business issues of clients will serve the company's clients in today's challenging business environment.
