The event has adopted the theme ‘Rebuilding the global economy: crisis and opportunity’, and Icon will be responsible for media relations and promoting the summit regionally and internationally. “One key challenge will be to meet the needs of a diverse range of journalists and correspondents, and to help them put together stories that would interest their local readers,” said Adeline Goh, director of Icon.

This is the first time Singapore has launched the event. The three-day summit is expecting 800 senior business executives across Asia-Pacific and nine global leaders, presidents and prime ministers.

The APEC CEO Summit will be held alongside the Economic Leaders’ Meeting. Major partners for the CEO Summit include HSBC and Siemens. It also has partnerships with international brands such as DHL, Procter & Gamble, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Singapore Airlines.
