Menon will be moving from Mindshare's Vietnam operation to take up the reins as leader in Malaysia next month.
A press statement from Mindshare stated that in Girish Menon the agency is able to bring in a leader with 17 years experience within the group. Menon leaves a three and a half year stint in Vietnam where he held the twin roles of managing director, GroupM Vietnam and leader, Mindshare Vietnam and consolidated the agency’s market leadership.
Ashutosh Srivastava, leader of Mindshare Asia Pacific said: "When Rahul announced his intention to pursue his MBA, it was a difficult task to find a suitable replacement who could build on his good work.
