Geometry promotes from within for HK and Taiwan leader

WPP's Geometry has promoted its Taiwan MD to CEO for both that market and Hong Kong. Harry Bailey will continue to report to Jesse Lin, Geometry’s APAC CEO.

The previous MD in Hong Kong, Anne Vanlaeys, appointed in 2017, has resigned, the company said.

Bailey has toured the region with Geometry over the last several years. He was appointed MD in Taiwan in 2017, prior to which he was client services director at Geometry Singapore. Before that, he was a group account director in the agency's Hong Kong office, which followed a stint as interim business lead in Sydney. Prior to that he spent five-plus years with Ogilvy in London and Hong Kong.

"I feel very fortunate to have already enjoyed such an exciting journey with the company, and it just keeps evolving and growing," Bailey said in a release. "The role itself allows us to combine our amazing talent and capabilities that both our Hong Kong and Taiwan markets possess.”

Lin said Bailey has a track record of managing teams and brands through various stages of transformation, calling him the right type of "transformation agent" for leading the challenge of helping clients achieve growth at speed."
