Connie Chu joins Aegis Media China as print general manager

SHANGHAI - The former publisher of Figaro China, Connie Chu, has joined the print buying team of Aegis Media China as general manager.

Based in Shanghai, Chu (pictured) will lead the team in providing branding and communications solutions to clients. She will report to Lisa Wei, chief investment officer at Aegis Media China.

Wei said Chu’s "vast experience across different sectors will be a strong support to the team".

Chu has over 12 years of extensive media experience in China. Prior to joining Aegis, she was the publisher of Figaro and had been working with the Aegis print team since March this year as a senior consultant. LVMH, Richemont and L’Oreal group are included in her client profile.

She started her media and marketing career in China in 2000 as advertising director with ELLE, and then took on the role of sales VP at Viacom, the MTV China channel in 2004, and then moved on to Touch Media to lead its sales and marketing department.
