In reaching an agreement with Celestial Pictures, AORA becomes the fourth platform in Indonesia to carry Celestial Movies, following Indovision, Telkomvision and Skynindo.

Celestial Movies (CM) is Celestial Pictures’ flagship channel and the most widely distributed 24-hour Chinese movie channel in the world. The channel showcases the latest Chinese blockbusters and movie hits from other Asian countries, plus behind-the-scenes programming, interviews with movie stars and directors, and entertainment news shows.

With its exclusive output deals with major Hong Kong film studios, CM is able to offer AORA’s viewers event films such as Shaolin starring Andy Lau and Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen with Donnie Yen. In addition, CM offers blockbuster films from China and Taiwan like the megahits Let the Bullets Fly and Monga.

“We are delighted to have Celestial Movies be part of AORA’s launch,” said Ross Pollack, chief executive officer, Celestial Pictures. “AORA’s inclusion of Celestial Movies in its basic package is a testimony to our channel’s appeal to pay TV audiences in Indonesia.”

“With a variety of attractive packages that we are offering now, we find our customers can be more flexible in managing their time and household budget. This way they can get optimal service from us,” said Guntur S. Siboro, AORA’s director of marketing and sales.
