Capgemini appoints FleishmanHillard as global comms agency

Capgemini has hired FleishmanHillard as its retained global comms agency.

Led from London, the global account team will manage comms for the France-based tech services and consulting business across the UK, the US and the Netherlands, in the latter case supported by its affiliate, Omnicom PR Group NL.

FleishmanHillard will be responsible for integrated communications support across earned, owned and social channels to increase brand awareness and manage Capgemini’s corporate reputation. The agency will also provide thought leadership opportunities for its C-suite leaders.

The brief includes media relations, storytelling and copywriting, executive profiling, digital strategy and influencer engagement, sports sponsorship amplification, media training and crisis communications strategy.

The account will be led by FleishmanHillard MD Claudia Bate, who said, “As the communications landscape continues to transform and merge, we are excited to have the opportunity to help Capgemini amplify its leadership in digital transformation and innovation, while further enhancing the brand’s global reputation and influence, among the audiences that matter.”

Capgemini employs over 340,000 people globally to offer strategy, web design and operations services, specializing in the IT fields of cloud, data AI, connectivity, software, and digital engineering.

According to its website, the business counts 85% of the 200 biggest public companies on the Forbes Global 2,000 list among its clients.

Virginie Regis, chief marketing and communications officer at Capgemini, said, “We are happy to have a new agency partner on board to act as a strategic advisor and trusted collaborator to our external communications team."

WE Communications previously held Capgemini’s UK PR account. Laura Gillen, MD at the agency, said, “After seven great years, we concluded our core remit and wish them continued success.”

FleishmanHillard has nearly 80 offices in more than 30 countries, plus affiliates in 45 countries.

Last year, Omnicom announced it plan to buy holding company IPG. In February, it was reported that Omnicom had cut close to 3,000 roles from its global workforce during 2024, ahead of the planned takeover.

In addition to FleishmanHillard, Omnicom PR Group owns Porter Novelli, Ketchum and Portland in the UK.

FleishmanHillard posted $745 million in annual revenue as of 2023, according to PRWeek's Agency Business Report.
