FleishmanHillard hires Ketchum’s Jim Joseph as global head of brand impact

FleishmanHillard has hired Jim Joseph as global head of brand impact, effective on Monday.

In the newly created role, Joseph is reporting to J.J. Carter, FleishmanHillard president and CEO.

“We are known for our reputation and corporate affairs work,” said Carter. “Over the last year and a half, we have seen the value of taking a much higher value consulting approach to corporate affairs. It was important we take a similar elevated approach to brand.”

Joseph will be responsible for leading FleishmanHillard’s global brand business across B2B, B2C and B2G audiences. He is focused on driving commercial outcomes rather than communications output and will pull from the firm’s strengths in data and intelligence, strategic integration and its spectrum of industry expertise, according to a FleishmanHillard statement.

“This is a reimagination of what we are calling ‘brand impact’ for the future of communications,” said Joseph. “We want to shape our clients’ business to bring business value to the work we deliver for them across multiple sectors and industries around the globe. We are thinking through the talent lead on the team, how we structure the team, how we deliver the work and reimagining that for our clients so we can guide them through what we know they are trying to do as they transform their business.”

Most recently, Joseph was CEO of Ketchum Next and global CMO for Ketchum. He left those roles on Friday. Joseph will not be replaced in those roles and his responsibilities will be divided among Ketchum staffers, he said. Ketchum Next is an internal initiative at the Omnicom agency, according to a spokesperson.
