
The programmes including “GMT with George Alagiah” and “Impact Asia with Mishal Husain” among others, will be supported with new on-air graphics and broadcast from BBC World News’ redesigned studio in London. Viewers can now also interact with presenters through online and social media platforms.
On the channel changes, Richard Porter, BBC World News' editorial director, said: “We’re reacting to what our audience have requested from us - a real desire for news programmes relevant to their region. We also understand that by realigning news for weekdays and topical programmes over weekends, we can provide viewers with accessible and wide-ranging content.”
