Prior to this, Wong was DDB's business director, managing the Johnson & Johnson Greater China beauty portfolio, the McDonald's digital account and Quaker since October 2011.
At DDB, Wong oversaw a team of 30 that was equipped with strategic planning, account management, creative, digital and CRM staff. At that time, she said she was attracted by DDB's strengths in the digital arena and joined the agency to expand her capabilities in integrated campaigns.
Previously at Leo Burnett's Shanghai and Hong Kong offices from November 2005 until September 2011, her last role was group account director for Li-Ning, Siemens (home appliances), and Ferrero Kinder. DDB declined to disclose Wong's replacement.
Alvin Yim told Campaign Asia-Pacific he has moved to the Guangzhou office in a parallel role as GM. He was promoted to the Shanghai GM position in June 2013 together with Stefan Petzinger to MD (who is leaving Leo Burnett end-March).
Over at Leo Burnett Guangzhou, Yim will be in charge of the Galaxy Macau, Tide and Whisper (under P&G) clients as well as overall operations in South China. Jeff Ho will remain its managing director, while current executive creative director Kin Chong will move northwards to Shanghai instead. Takho Lau, current creative director in Guangzhou, will be promoted to fill the ECD gap.
