Korea is a new route started by AirAsia X. Carat Korea will take charge of the client's integrated communications planning, including media buying, detailed offline media planning, outdoor and digital. The win marks Carat's first airline account in the market.

Spencer Lee, marketing manager at AirAsia X, commented, “We were very impressed with the Carat team’s understanding of the market insight and their passion for our business. We know Carat will be our key partner to grow our business in South Korea.”

Woohyun Nam, general manager at Carat Korea, added that his team will utilise the experience gaining through previous global brand launches such as H&M to achieve success for Air Asia.

In 2009 AirAsia was named Brand of the Year at Media's Agency of the Year Awards.

Group M continues to work with AirAsia in other parts of the region.
