This consolidation of both parties will boost both parties' buying strength in the China market, and will benefit the digital media investment efficiency of clients for both Aegis Media and Charm.

The platform is co-owned by both parties. The staff and resources are integrated from both companies' digital trading staff. The team will be led by Michael Chang, chief digital officer of Aegis Media China and Taiwan, who will report to the platform's management committee.

In China, Aegis Media already has two of the leading digital services arms with Isobar and iProspect.

Nick Waters, CEO Aegis Media Asia-Pacific, commented, “This initiative is another important step in our partnership with Charm, bringing the best of Chinese and international knowledge together for the benefit of our clients. We will continue to find opportunities to add value together across all communications channels.”

He Dang, chairman and CEO of Charm Communications, explained that this joint digital media trading platform represented the second major strategic cooperation between Charm and Aegis Media, following a successful joint venture with Vizeum in 2010.
