Nissan taps kimono designer to send Formula E message

The 'Get comfortable, but not too comfortable' campaign was conceptualised by Dark Horses

Nissan creates bespoke kimonos for the Formula E team’s rivals as it embraces the Japanese concept of omotenashi, or 'hosting guests wholeheartedly'.

Japanese designer Jun Nakamura, who hails from Kyoto, created the set of bespoke kimonos. The campaign is led by a film in which the designer explains the concept of omotenashi while bringing the kimonos to life. It tells the rival teams to "Get comfortable, but not too comfortable."

The campaign was created to mark Tokyo's first time hosting the Formula E-Prix on 30 March.
