Christmas magic, delivered by disco ball

THE WORK: 'Spread the merry' for Australia Post by The Monkeys.

An isolated and lonely old man. A thoughtful and determined child wanting to spread Christmas cheer. A gift delivery that touches the heart and changes everything. Where has Ad Nut seen this before?

Probably in about a million Christmas ads, but most famously in the 2015 John Lewis Christmas film 'Man in the moon'.

Mind you, Ad Nut's not accusing the makers of the above ad for Australia Post—The Monkeys (part of Accenture Interactive)—of anything. Most likely there was no intent here.

It's a sweet ad that only an uber-Scrooge could hate. Which apparently means Ad Nut is an uber-Scrooge, because Ad Nut kind of hates it. The formula's a yawner, and it's unsurprising and, worse, unmoving. Bah humbug.
