An endlessly charming animation for POSB Singapore

TSLA once again strikes gold, this time with a children’s storybook come to life.

Singapore isn’t short of creative work around a topic close to its heart: retirement planning. The Secret Little Agency (TSLA) created an animated universe for POSB, modeled after a children’s book. The film follows the story of Adithi and her son Timmy, who whiz and whirl through kaleidoscopic frames as they talk about their financial worries and plan for their future.

TSLA commissioned illustrator Rilla Alexander to create the Po family characters in an illustrated universe. The film was then animated by TSLA’s in-house studio.

The work veers from the market’s usual tone when tackling the topic of retirement: serious and sad. Take this one last year for NTUC Income. It features a grey overtone and heated family arguments. Another one from 2018, also by NTUC income, was beloved for good reason but climaxes with plenty of tears.

It’s just nice to see something colourful and uplifting for a change.
