A salute to the true WFH heroes

Masterpet ANZ spotlights the "four-legged heroes" and "fur workers" who are making life under lockdown bearable, in a campaign put together in three days by The Works. Let the cooing commence.

Masterpet ANZ has launched two videos that pay tribute to "four-legged heroes" and "fur workers" for providing ongoing support during life under lockdown.

The videos for the company's brands Black Hawk (above) and VitaPet (below) were produced in three days using existing and user-generated footage. The agency is The Works, part of RXP Group, with content and production agency Daresay. The videos are running on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube across Australia and New Zealand.

Ad Nut knows you humans will emit various awws and coos while watching these videos, and you might even get weepy. So...you're welcome.

Ad Nut, of course, is unmoved. All of these creatures are sycophantic mooches who are just using you humans for the food and shelter you provide. That they deign to let you pat their precious heads seems like a poor tradeoff. Plus, as Ad Nut's legions of longtime fans are well aware, dogs are murderous beasts. And cats, come to think of it, are also prodigious killing machines, although they don't normally victimise squirrellkind. All in all, it continues to mystify Ad Nut that the ad industry puts these miserable, violent carnivores on such a pedestal, when creatures that are infinitely more photogenic and charismatic while also exemplifying far more noble attributes—industriousness, independence, prudential planning, extraordinary memory—are staring you right in the face.

Ad Nut is a surprisingly literate woodland creature that for unknown reasons has an unhealthy obsession with advertising. Ad Nut gathers ads from all over Asia and the world for your viewing pleasure, because Ad Nut loves you. You can also check out Ad Nut's Advertising Hall of Fame, or read about Ad Nut's strange obsession with 'murderous beasts'.
