Best spaces to work: SCMP Hong Kong

The South China Morning Post unveiled a new identity this week, with a jazzy new office to match.

The SCMP's facelift and relocation from Tai Po to Causeway Bay in Hong Kong are part of what it calls its "evolution from a storied newspaper into a global media company".

It now boasts a new blue and yellow logo, too, an interpretation of the signal flag 'kilo', used in shipping to mean "I want to communicate with you". The two parts of the logo are also supposed to resemble a broadsheet newspaper and to signify the SCMP's commitment to telling both sides of any story.

The new office in Times Square is a 100,000-square-foot space over six floors, with social areas and an open atrium designed to loosen up internal communications. Staff will start moving from Tai Po this month.

Note: 'Best spaces to work' merely highlights new and cool workspaces; it should not be interpreted as an endorsement of a company's overall work experience.
