Ramanathan took on the new role in September and reports directly to Matthew Godfrey, president Y&R Asia. Based in Singapore, his responsibilities include leading strategy across Asia.

Y&R took its time to fill this role after Neil Cotton left to start GMT+8, his own strategy consultancy in Singapore.

“From Oliver Kittipong Veerataecha in Thailand to KaiyuLi in China, strong planning leaders have come to the fore in the recent years and Y&R believes this is key to bringing value to our clients’ businesses and Hari's promotion consolidates and continues this focus for the future,” Godfrey said.
