Five fresh graduates will be handed a paid role and the opportunity to ‘shift and shape the charter’ of the new in-house Zed Pod digital agency.

The programme comes amid growing industry concerns about the attraction and retention of young talent as other creative industries, such as film, design and animation, become attractive options for fresh digital graduates.

The Zed Pod digital agency initiative is also part of Y&R's wider plan to expand VML Qais into Jakarta, following Y&R's acquisition of a majority stake in Qais last year.

Y&R Indonesia is now seeking candidates with a variety of digital skill sets including creative, design, strategy and back-end development from the University of Indonesia and BINUS University, as well as from other tertiary educational institutions across Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific.

Andrew Dowling, CEO of Y&R Indonesia, said the Zed Pod initiative is about ‘building the business of tomorrow’.

He said, “The top digital businesses in the world today were built by young people who live and breathe digital; think Facebook and Google. One can no longer ignore the power of youth in the shaping of the businesses of the future.”
