Wavemaker has appointed Gordon Domlija, previously its China CEO, as regional president. In addition, the company has promoted Allison Coley, previously MD of client solutions in Hong Kong, to North Asia CEO, and Rose Huskey, previously MD of client solutions in Singapore, to Southeast Asia CEO.

Domlija will also hold the title of chairman for Wavemaker China and will continue to directly support some key clients, the company said. He also joins the GroupM APAC executive committee.

Coley and Huskey take on market oversight in addition to their current responsibilities leading the network's Hong Kong and Singapore hubs for international client services. Coley will oversee Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea, while Huskey looks after Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand. Both will report to Alex Altman, president of global client operations, and to Domlija for the markets. Both will also join the Wavemaker global executive committee.

The company said it will name a new leader for Wavemaker China in due course.

"We have had many successes in our short existence, but these have tended to be by market or by client, driven by the fantastic individuals we have within Wavemaker," Domlija told Campaign Asia-Pacific. "The objective of reorganising our management structure in the region, and my objective personally, is to ensure that these successes are replicated consistently across every market and every client."

The company will not be building a ‘regional’ team in the traditional sense, he stressed. "Our strength now and in the future comes from our people in our markets, working with our clients every day to answer real problems. Creating a platform and environment where the very best of what we already do can be scaled and replicated through a regional network of support, ideas and solutions is a very real and immediate ambition."
