This is a new brief, focussed on corporate positioning, across Visa International's APCEMEA region.

A Visa spokesperson said this brief was not previously assigned to any agency, and therefore does not impact their existing relationships with other PR agencies in the region.

She said that Fleishman Hillard does work closely with Visa out of San Francisco but this is not an alignment per se, since many other agencies are used in this region and in-market.

Ruder Finn has a regional remit across Asia Pacific and a number of other agencies handle in-market local PR.

Fleishman-Hillard was unable to comment on the appointment.

Including Fleishman Hillard's handling of Visa International elsewhere in the world, this assignment makes Visa the agency's second biggest client globally after AT&T.
