UM retains Australian government media contract

SYDNEY - The Australian government has extended for another two years the master media contract held by UM Australia since 2002.

The decision by the Department of Finance and Deregulation means that UM will continue to handle all media planning and buying duties for the government into 2014.

"We will continue to perform at the highest levels and deliver superior outcomes in our tasks ahead for the Australian government," Mat Baxter, chief executive officer of UM Australia said in a statement.

UM declined to reveal the value of the contract.
