Tiger Gate's KIX, Thrill gain carriage on HK Broadband

HONG KONG - Tiger Gate Entertainment's two television channels, KIX and Thrill, will be joining the Hong Kong Broadband platform from 15 November.

Tiger Gate Entertainment is a partnership between film studio Lionsgate Entertainment, US based private investment firm Saban Capital Group, and Tiger Gate’s management.

Hong Kong Broadband Network is a wholly owned subsidiary of City Telecom (HK) Limited.

Action channel KIX includes The Legend of Bruce Lee series, world drift racing competition D1 Grand Prix, and the exclusive Asian premiere of the World Championships of Kickboxing It’s Showtime. Thrill is featuring titles such as Psycho from the Late Nights with Hitchcock block, Hostel I & II, and a full library of Asian horror movies ranging from Ju-on to The Eye and The Ring series.

To Wai Bing, managing director of business development, HKBN said, “From world class edutainment to premium family TV entertainment to video-on-demand, our IPTV platform has seen tremendous expansion of content this year, and I am confident that the latest partnership with Tiger Gate would take bbTV further to become a truly all-in-one buffet of high quality TV, delivering best value of service to all HKBN customers.”
