Text100 shuffles global leadership, Anne Costello to head Asia-Pacific

GLOBAL - International PR firm Text100 has appointed new regional directors, with Anne Costello (pictured) to head Asia-Pacific following the departure of Steven Murphy, regional director of North Asia.

Steven Murphy stepped down from his post a few months ago and has not disclosed his next move.

Costello, who assumes Murphy's duties, was managing consultant of Text100 Hong Kong and director for Asean, ANZ and regional director for South Asia prior to this promotion. She has more than 20 years' experience in B2B and B2C communications, spanning agency and in-house roles in Europe and Asia.

The PR network has also shuffled leadership roles in other regions. Former APAC regional director Rowan Benecke has been appointed regional director of North America following the resignation of Scott Friedman. While in Europe, Cecile Missildine has been appointed regional director of Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

In new global positions, Sarah MacKenzie will oversee global marketing and client consultancy in EMEA, while Laurie Eisendrath will serve as chief financial officer. Ava Lawler will continue in her role as global consultancy director with a focus on Australia.

Meanwhile Jeremy Woolf, Text100’s global digital and social media lead, has relocated to New York to drive the agency’s digital growth strategy. Woolf is a 13-year Text100 veteran and a social media author and strategist who previously managed the agency’s Global Digital Practice from Hong Kong. Peter DiBart has also been hired as digital lead for Text100 North America based in New York. 

“While we are always saddened when good leaders decide to leave our company after almost a decade of service, we are taking this time to restructure our leadership team to focus on the future of our digital strategy," said Aedhmar Hynes, chief executive of Text100. "A certain degree of change is inevitable and is in fact healthy for an agency, yet we are fortunate to have a strong bench of senior talent with long tenure and global experience to implement the changes we now need to make.”
