Mottram (pictured) will be based in Hong Kong and report to Tarek Robbiati, TIG’s group MD.
Prior to joining TI, Mottram was the director of sales for BT’s subsidiary company Openreach, having been with BT in various senior executive sales positions over the past nine years. He also worked at AT&T for seven years following a stint as European sales director for Sprint.
“Hailing from the United Kingdom, Phil has nearly 20 years experience in the telecommunications industry and is a world-class experienced sales executive,” said Robbiati. “Over the past year we have worked hard to ensure we have the right people on the ground to continue to grow our business. Phil’s appointment is an integral part that growth plan. ”
Headquartered in Hong Kong, the Telstra International Group manages Telstra Corporation’s assets outside Australia and New Zealand, including Hong Kong-based mobile operator CSL, a portfolio of China-based new media businesses, the cable joint venture Reach and Telstra International global networks.
