SPENA names Miranda director of creative services for AXN channels

SINGAPORE - Cable TV operator SPE Networks Asia (SPENA) has appointed Ashok Miranda (pictured) as director of creative services for its AXN and AXN Beyond channels.

SPENA names Miranda director of creative services for AXN channels
Miranda is taking over the position from Jacky Foo, who relocated to Taipei to lead SPENA’s Taiwan office in May. Miranda will be in charge of on-air promotions and branding for the two channels.

His appointment follows a 10-year stint with the Disney Channel, where he is credited with having established the in-channel creative services department.

Ricky Ow, senior VP and general manager of SPENA, described the post as “big shoes to fill” but expressed confidence that Miranda would “be able to deliver”.

Miranda will be based in Singapore and report directly to Ow.

Last month, SPENA expanded its reach in Indonesia through a partnership with a new platform, Aora.

In March, the company debuted AXN HD in the region.
