The agency is tasked with media and social media audience engagement activities for SAM’s key showcases, which place emphasis on the contemporary practice of living artists. It is understood that the win was spearheaded by Eileen A. Chua, who runs the agency’s consumer and corporate practice.

Fulford PR had previously worked on arts and cultural events such as Art Stage Singapore 2011, 2011 Singapore Biennale, Singapore Writers Festival 2011, 2011 Asia-Pacific Breweries Foundation Signature Art Prize and i Light Marina Bay 2012.

“Fulford PR has supported SAM well in the past two years as we worked towards raising our public profile as the leading proponent for the contemporary art of Southeast Asia and a very fun place to be,” Tan Boon Hui, director of SAM, said. “We look forward to further enhancing this position with them in the next 12 months.”

“Fulford PR is very cognisant of the value art brings to any society, and it is on this basis that we have built a robust practice area focusing on art and heritage disciplines,” Fulford said. “We’re confident that as the industry grows, we’ll also continue to do so.”

The news comes on the back of founder and managing director Linda Fulford’s decision to take up a new role with parent agency BrandRapport at its UK headquarters in London. Going forward, the agency’s day-to-day operations will be headed jointly by directors Chua and Ronda Ng Doswell.
