Pearlson will be based in Singapore and will report to Lee Smith, CEO of platforms for Asia-Pacific. The role will see her managing clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Visa, Standard Chartered Bank and Getty Images in enhancing Omnicom Media Group’s search, social and performance offering in the region.

Pearlson was most recently the search director at OMD United Kingdom where she headed a team of search specialists working across brands such as Monster.com, Easyjet, Peugeot and Citroen.

“The growth of platform-supported media has completely changed the rules of engagement, advocacy and efficiency,” explained Smith. “Consumers prefer platform media to engage products, services and how they share their experiences with them.”

He added that Pearlson’s experience and knowledge in the search space would help the firm enhance and grow its service offering across its suite of platforms services.

Pearlson believes that technology and platform-driven marketing is more important than ever before. “With more and more technologies, data and behavioural information at our fingertips, we are looking forward to expanding our search, social and performance media across the region.”
