Omnicom Media Group China appoints talent officer

SHANGHAI - OMG China has appointed Wendy Suen, formerly of TNS and GroupM China, as chief talent officer.

Suen will be responsible for developing a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance with the agency’s objectives, according to the company. Her duties will include staff recruitment, retention, training, development as well as compensation and benefits.  

Suen joins OMG from WPP research agency TNS, where she served as regional director of talent and expertise and chief talent officer for North Asia. She has also served as national talent director for GroupM China. Overall, she has more than 20 years of experience in the field of recruitment, human resources and talent management. In addition, she spent nine years in client-facing positions at agencies including Ogilvy, JWT and Y&R. 

Suen said Omnicom Media Group’s senior management understands the importance of managing, attracting and growing talent in China, and she cited the group's emphasis on culture as a key attraction.

“We have been impressed by her passion and understanding for our business, and Wendy will help ensure that we offer our talent the very best we can across every dimension we work in," said Doug Pearce, CEO, Omnicom Media Group China.
