Omnicom dominates in Greater China at 2010 Agency of the Year Awards

SINGAPORE - Omnicom Group agencies DDB China Group, PHD and Tribal DDB, all based in Shanghai, each walked away with Agency of the Year for the Greater China region in their respective categories at the 2010 Agency of the Year Awards held in Singapore last night.

For the Greater China region, DDB China Group Shanghai won Creative Agency of the Year, PHD Shanghai Media Agency of the Year and Tribal DDB Shanghai Digital Agency of the Year. Specialist Agency of the Year went to McCann Healthcare Worldwide Shanghai.

From Ogilvy & Mather China, Shenan Chuang won Agency Head of the Year and Anthony Wong took home Account Person of the Year. DDB China Group's Michael Dee took home Creative of the Year and Anna Chitty from PHD Shanghai won Media Planner/ Buyer of the Year.

In the regional awards, DDB took the crown as the Creative Network of the Year, Tribal DDB was awarded the trophy for Digital Agency of the Year and regional head of DDB Group John Zeigler took home the prize for Agency Head of the Year.

Meanwhile, OMG’s PHD was named Media Agency Network for the second year running and Mark Holden, who is currently managing partner at PHD's Australia operation, took the prize for Media Planner/ Buyer of the Year.

Elsewhere, McCann Healthcare was named as Specialist Agency of the Year and Mindshare’s Asia-Pacific’s Deepika Nikhilender took the award for Account Person of the Year.

Gillette India was named Brand of the Year and Pernod Ricard China’s Pierre Berard took home the award for Client Marketer of the Year.

448 guests attended the annual awards ceremony celebrating the companies and individuals that have not only contributed to raising industry standards but have also excelled in business performance.
