Simon See, former vice president sales for VIP Magazine, and Gordon Yong, previously associate account director at Mediacorp, have joined the company as senior account managers.

The company also hired Michelle Ong as account director. Previously, Ong spent seven years in Integrated Account Management at MediaCorp.

Finally, newly appointed account manager Zheng Leyi joins Clear Channel from Moove Media.

All four joined the company between April and July this year. Zheng, See and Yong report to Jacquelyn Tan, group account director for the agency sales portfolio, while Ong will report to Sharon Tan, group account director for direct sales.

Kelly Khoo, Clear Channel's sales and marketing director, said, "With Leyi, Simon, Gordon and Michelle onboard, they will be working closely with the team and leveraging on their knowledge of integrated media to expand on the growing demand for out-of-home media."

According to the entertainment and media outlook report from PwC, out-of-home advertising in Singapore is expected to grow 4.7 per cent between 2012 and 2016. PwC estimates showed the segment as virtually stagnant during 2011, but it is expected to grow in 2012.

Around a decade ago, Clear Channel Singapore was awarded the world’s largest street furniture contact to Design Build and Operate (DBO) 3,200 bus and taxi shelters for a 20-year period by the Land Transport Authority. This gives the company access to about 80 per cent of all bus shelters in Singapore.
