Neal Estavillo departs Milk+Co as Chong Wei-Hsiang takes over as acting CEO

KUALA LUMPUR - Milk+Co has announced the appointment of Chong Wei-Hsiang (pictured right) as its acting CEO of the agency with the departure of Neal Estavillo, who has led the agency since September 2007.

Chong Wei-Hsiang was until recently the managing director of DDB PR in Malaysia. Prior to this he has worked with  GCI Worldwide, the PR arm of Grey Group Malaysia.

The development follows the rerbanding of DDB PR as Milk PR. This development  will also see DBB PR team up with Milk+Co, effective 1 February, 2010.

In addition to this, Adrian Sng (left) has been named Milk+Co's general manager and has been tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations and client service requirements in optimising consumer touch point strategies.

Datuk Vincent Lee, executive chairman of Foetus Group said: "Riding off the back of an exemplary 2009 at DDB PR, we have decided that both agencies should collaborate and join forces. I believe this to be Milk+Co’s new frontier in its evolution to becoming a futuristic force in marketing, communications and branding."

Chong added: “With a suite of enhanced service offerings, we are staying current, relevant and true to what matters most to our clients - stimulating conversations and creating conversational media opportunities as opposed to merely orchestrating campaigns; cultivating consumer connections rather than just crafting key messages."

In March 2008, DDB International Malaysia became the first agency in the history of the network to drop the DDB name, rebranding to Milk+Co.

The acronym made famous by Bill Bernbach, Ned Doyle and Maxwell Dane had been replaced to avoid confusion with Naga DDB, the agency's sibling.
