Stalberg will be responsible for supporting the company’s organisational expansion to keep up with clients’ demand. Kevin Clarke, CEO at GroupM Thailand, noted that Stalberg is also tasked with diversifying mInteraction’s revenue stream to include other parts of the region, besides maximising the bottom line for digital operations in Thailand.

"Thailand is already world famous for its creative services for the traditional media industry," Clarke said. "Our vision is to drive and support the Thai digital creative industry to also be globally recognized as a center of excellence."

Stalberg has relocated from Sweden, where he was the chief executive of PlusFourSix, a company providing streaming music service. Earlier he was chief executive officer at digital music bank Global Media Bank.

Prior to his working experience in Sweden, he was the executive chairman at mInteraction Company in Bangkok, and co-founded mobile content provider Siam2you, in Bangkok.

Commenting on the appointment, Siwat Chawareewong, CEO at mInteraction, said, “To add the position of COO and get Niklas onboard is enabling us to get one step closer to not only grow our company substantially, but also to lead the expansion of the entire digital advertising market in Thailand.”
