In his new role, Chan's primary focus will be developing search strategies for the agency's clients, covering all forms of search online.
Previously, Chan worked as a search engine optimisation (SEO) specialist with key duties including SEO, search engine marketing (SEM) and e-commerce system management. He also spent time at Schawel.com as a project manager, Intuitive Logistic Resources, Alliance and Link Corporation and BEC-Tero. Most of his work experience lies in marketing and generating buzz through social media and word of mouth.
Paul Gibbins, managing director of Mindshare Thailand, explained that the agency's clients are starting to realise that search has become a critical element of their marketing communications plans and are looking for advise on the area.
He added: "Everyone keeps saying that digital is important and we will continue to make investments in domain expertise. We’re starting with search and will then move quickly to other areas such as community management and listening.”
