Mindshare Hong Kong reshuffles senior management

HONG KONG - Mindshare Hong Kong has seen a number of recent changes among senior management, following the departure of Tracey Cheung, deputy leader, who joined the agency early this year but has left for a role as assistant vice-president at PCCW.

Cheung joined Mindshare Hong Kong as deputy leader in January after a long career with Nokia, where her last role was head of marketing at Nokia Hong Kong.

Melanie Lo, GroupM CEO, told Campaign Asia-Pacific that "there has been no direct replacement for Cheung, but we have several new senior people joining Mindshare."

Ronnie Tong has joined as partner of client leadership. He was most recently regional media director at Kering (PPR Group, ex-Gucci Group) for close to three years.

Paul Gibbins took up the MD role for Mindshare Hong Kong last January after working for Mindshare Thailand for 19 years. Carman Cha, who was previously head of GroupM Trading, has moved over to Mindshare as deputy leader and has been succeeded by David Fung.

Earlier this month, Mindshare hired Alfred Cheng as new deputy leader for Mindshare Hong Kong, leading the HSBC team. Prior to that, Cheng worked with SMG as regional director since 2012, after working for MEC Hong Kong since 1997.
