MediaWorks 2020 announces chair, mentors

Campaign Asia-Pacific has announced that Amrita Randhawa, CEO of Mindshare Asia Pacific and executive chairperson of Mindshare China, will chair MediaWorks 2020, which takes place in Bangkok from May 13 through 16.

In addition, Campaign has announced nine of the mentors who will shepherd teams of MediaWorks delegates through the demanding and intensive four-day experience.

Randhawa has held her current roles since 2018. Prior to that she was CEO of Mindshare Greater China, which followed a stint as China CEO. All together she has spent more than 14 years at Mindshare, before which she held roles at Starcom India and DDB Mudra. She was named CEO of the year at Campaign's Women Leading Change Awards in 2018 and was a member of Campaign's 40 Under 40 in 2013.

"I am regularly blown away by how the youngest within our agency provoke and challenge the status quo," Randhawa said. "The opportunity to chair a programme like Mediaworks where I get to see that provocation from the best and the brightest across the industry is just an unparalleled opportunity. Having been a mentor at Mediaworks before I know how much thought is put into the programme and am delighted at the opportunity to help shape it.”

Randhawa takes over as MediaWorks chair from former OMG executive Torie Henderson, who last year chaired the event for the seventh straight year and 13th time overall.
