Mediabrands launches joint-venture Reprise Media in India

INDIA – Interpublic Group’s (IPG) Mediabrands has signed a majority-joint venture partnership with India-based Interactive Avenues to form new business unit Reprise Media.

Reprise Media is set to focus on search and social marketing in addition to digital services like creative development, media strategy and investment, campaign implementation and post activity analysis.

Interactive Avenues is one of the largest digital marketing solutions companies in India. Its three offices reside in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The company will continue to operate independently.

Anjali Hegde, co-founder of Interactive Avenues, will lead the new digital unit as CEO.

According to Hegde: "The possibilities for Reprise Media India have no bounds. Our clients will be able to access the best of both worlds as well as the opportunities presented by accelerated growth in India's digital marketing space."

Mediabrands holds a 51 per cent stake in the joint venture, while Interactive Avenues holds 49 per cent.

The online community in India holds approximately 81 million people.
