GroupM agencies MEC and Maxus have name new leaders in Asia-Pacific.

At MEC, Allison Coley has joined as managing director of the agency’s Singapore office. She was most recently client president for MEC Global Solutions in London, and has spent 12 years with the agency in the UK and US. Coley will lead the integrated MEC Singapore and Global Solutions businesses.

She replaces Sharon Soh, who leaves the agency at the end of January after 18 years.

In addition, Connie Chan has become MEC’s first chief client officer in APAC. Chan has been managing director of MEC Global Solutions Singapore since its establishment in 2006. In her new role she will focus on client-centric matters across the region.

Peter Vogel, MEC APAC CEO, said: “Connie and Allison are two incredibly strong female leaders and role models in our industry and beyond—and I couldn’t think of anyone better suited to lead our clients to continued growth.”

At Maxus, Anita Munro has become APAC head of trading. Previously part of the regional trading team based in Hong Kong, Munro has particular experience in trading and planning, with significant knowledge of the digital landscape.

She takes over from Nathan Cook, who has moved to Australia to become GroupM deputy trading director.

Nick Binns, GroupM Asia Pacific chief investment officer, said: “I very much will continue to enjoy working with Anita in this new role, and I know she will succeed and deliver winning results for Maxus and their clients.”
