MANILA - McCann Worldgroup Philippines has won back 24-year client, ACS' Pride detergent following a competitive three-way pitch, after losing it in 2009 to Publicis JimenezBasic.

McCann Philippines wins back Pride detergent

The agency won back the account on 29 July after a four-year hiatus that began when it lost the account in 2009. Prior to that, it had retained the business continuously since launching the brand for ACS in 1985.

It is understood that the account moved on from Publicis to the incumbent agency in this pitch, which ACS and McCann have declined to name.

"This is an important triumph, as the brand is richly embedded in McCann’s history of best works that have made a positive impact on Filipinos’ lives," said Raul Castro, McCann Worldgroup chairman and CEO. " We thank ACS for the renewed trust given to us, and we are looking forward to creating more success stories with them.”

Alfonso C. Supetran, president of ACS Manufacturing is likewise happy to be working with McCann again. "It is the agency that wholly understands Pride and I am confident that in their hands, Pride will continue to thrive in the coming years.”
