Based in Singapore, Ramaswamy’s responsibilities will cover both Singapore and Malaysia.

With over 16 years' experience across direct, data and direct marketing working in the US, Singapore, Bangalore and Hong Kong, Ramaswamy joins Leo Burnett from Blue Interactive in Singapore where he ran the global consulting practice for all clients across Asia, EMEA and the US.

“The appointment of Suresh and the recent digital hires comes at a time when our Singapore and Malaysia offices are growing with the addition of new businesses like Proton and UOB," said Leo Burnett Group CEO, Tan Kien Eng.

He added, "Since the beginning of this year, we have made a few key promotions and appointments in both markets to ensure the strength of the team is parallel to the growth we are experiencing. A competent team with adequate support at the right time is crucial to sustain this growth and take it further.”

Ramaswamy has conceived and delivered innovative marketing solutions for regional blue chip and start-up clients including Johnson & Johnson, SAP, Cisco Systems, HP, IBM, Lotus, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Brocade, Shangri-la Hotels & Resorts, Motorola, Citibank and JCPenny.com.

Prior to Blue Interactive, he was with Ogilvy & Mather in Asia and Modem Media working across Asia and the US. Apart from being a qualified electronics and telecommunications engineer, Ramaswamy also holds a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Responding to the appointment, Ramaswamy said, "I look forward to marrying the interactive nature of the web, with strong ideas to deliver web and mobile solutions that engage and drive results.”

Ramaswamy's appointment is aimed at growing the agency's digital practice. To do this, the agency has also recently added new hires including Olivier Woods as digital account manager, Radha Chandramohan as database executive, Viknesk Muniandy as software developer and Latika Israni as group account director.
